What to do if you're on edge? Schedule a meeting with your supervisor about goals; clearly defined goals make workers happier -- and healthier -- new research suggests. People whose job descriptions have changed recently or were loosely defined in the first place can start to feel uncertain at work, particularly in this ever-changing marketplace. As workers start to feel the stress, researchers recently found that management can help by establishing and communicating clear-cut goals for employees. If your boss doesn't take the initiative, do it yourself. Ask for a meeting to discuss organizational goals and define your individual role in achieving them.
