Ball & Core
Learn to maximize the ball's effectiveness with a variety of creative routines. These exciting stability ball moves will give you balance and core-conditioning benefits. Challenge your strength with fun and effective exercises for your posture and core.

Cardio BOSU
A full-body workout on the BOSU that challenges balance and stability while strengthening the torso. The perfect balance of cardiovascular and muscular conditioning.

Cardio Kickbox
A high energy, explosive workout, non-contact kickboxing blends elements of boxing, martial arts and traditional aerobics into a 60-minute exercise routine. Build a leaner body, improve balance, coordination, speed and agility. Following warm-up drills, kickbox moves are worked into high-energy combinations. A truly aerobic workout and a great way to release stress!

Cardio Mix
This high-energy cardio class combines 45 minutes of cardio and the latest fitness techniques to give your body a total workout. You control intensity to match your level of fitness.

Club Fit Junior
Your children will learn exercise fundamentals, flexibility, endurance skills and confidence while enjoying an exciting, non-competitive, social atmosphere. The creative and fun 6-week program features interactive exercises and games to challenge both body and mind, with emphasis on enjoyment. The kid-friendly instructors will inspire their young participants to stretch, twist and hop their way toward better fitness during the short routines. Your youngsters will get into the habit of enjoying exercise and learn to develop good fitness habits at an early age. On good weather days, the group will have the option to take the group outdoors. Open to ages 7 to 10 years.

Core Concepts
A body strengthening and sculpting workout designed to target your core muscles. This class concentrates on core strength to improve posture, balance and coordination, as well as work all the major muscle groups.

Cycle & Core
Cycle Core starts with 35 minutes of studio cycling then transitions to 25 minutes of Pilates-based core work and stretching on the mat.

Cycle Conditioning
Does your cycling regimen need more strength? This class fuses cycling and strength training to burn calories and sculpt muscles while increasing cardio endurance. Designed for all fitness levels, it includes a strength-training component using resistance bands and/or weights and focuses on core conditioning.

Cycle Express
Get a blast of a workout in these fun, intense 45 minute studio cycling classes. These workouts are fast paced, but perfect for beginner or advanced students alike.

Fit Women
Learn proper form for more advanced resistance training exercises and how to progress your workouts safely, as you continually challenge yourself to become even more fit. The class is designed to help you make the most effective use of your workout time by combining exercises into a well-rounded routine. The all-female, small group atmosphere of Fit Women provides camaraderie among individuals with similar fitness goals, yet allows for personal attention to your particular needs. Prior experience with strength training is recommended, as is a base level of fitness, and general familiarity with gym equipment. Basic periodization and progression of a workout routine will begin in September, so regular attendance is recommended, either 1x or 2x/wk. Class is offered 4x/wk to accommodate demand as well as tailor to a wider variety of fitness levels. Advanced beginners should plan to attend Mon/Wed, intermediate Mon/Thu, and advanced Tue/Thu. Class capacity is limited to 8, so plan to arrive on time.

Group Pilates Reformer
Challenged resistance to work abs, arms and legs while stabilizing pelvic and shoulder girdles. Learn core stability and strength while getting a total body toning and flexibility workout. This Body/Mind program will help improve your overall fitness while making you more balanced and centered. For those who are familiar with Pilates Reformer Basics. Prior Reformer class experience and instructor approval are required. As a general rule, only healthy bodies may take advantage of Pilates Reformer classes. Those with injuries or special conditions are better and more safely accommodated in private sessions. Class capacity is limited to 5. No drop-ins will be allowed.

Group Power
This 60 minute barbell program strengthens all your major muscles in a motivating group environment. The basic, athletic movements include squats, lunges, presses and curls. All ages and fitness levels are welcome. Please arrive early to set up your equipment. Admission tickets are required. Late arrivals will not be admitted.

Lifetime Fitness
A specialized program designed for seniors and those with musculoskeletal concerns, such as knee, back, shoulder pain. Its goal is to boost energy levels by focusing on stretching, flexibility, balance, low impact exercise and strength training.

Lifetime Yoga
A specialized program designed for seniors and those with musculoskeletal concerns, such as knee, back, shoulder pain. Its goal is to boost energy levels by focusing on stretching, flexibility, balance, low impact exercise and strength training.

Odyssey School
Island Fitness is pleased to assist the Odyssey School with its physical education program.

Orientation (by appt.)
Get to know the club, floor equipment, and facilities. Ask questions of an instructor and increase your level of safety and general awareness while on the fitness studio floor. By appointment only.

Pilates I
Improve your core strength, spine mobility, stamina, coordination and balance using a full selection of traditional Pilates exercises on the mat or expanded with props. Format may include the use of fitball, fitness circle, theraband, weights and more!

Pilates Mat II
A progressive, challenging class for the experienced Pilates student. Your knowledge of the fundamentals learned in Pilates I will be developed with a wider repertoire of exercises. This series provides more advanced cueing, and assumes that you are familiar with the basic order and technique of Pilates I. You will learn to improve your knowledge of proper body alignment, balance and control while engaging in a dynamic, full-body workout. Prior mat class experience and instructor approval are required. As a general rule, only healthy bodies may take advantage of Pilates group mat classes. Those with injuries or special conditions are better and more safely accommodated in private sessions. Class capacity is limited to 10. No drop-ins will be permitted.

Small Group Yoga
Gain strength, stamina and balance as you learn to control mind, body and breath. This class is run outside the club's Group Fitness Department. Please contact the Front Desk for details.

Step MIX
Progressive “add on” step combinations followed by group strength training and core conditioning for a fun and effective workout! Improve your muscular strength, function, balance and agility.

Studio Cycle
Designed to give you an endorphin-packed cardio workout. Long, rhythmic sets using great music enable you to slide into the zone. Perfect for improving form and pedaling technique. All levels welcome. First-timers should plan to arrive 20 minutes early for orientation and bike fitting.

Tai Chi Workout
A unique movement class inspired by the slow, fluid, body centering movements of tai chi and qigong. Experience a new challenge of core control and movement integration that will improve balance, flexibility and coordination of the upper and lower body.

Teen Dance

Total Body Cardio
This total workout combines the latest fitness techniques including step, weights, fitness circle, fit-ball, Pilates, intervals, circuit and more! Cross-train though a wide variety of approaches and achieve your fitness goals.

Train to Climb

Yoga Form
Mindfully move through a full range of dynamic stretching and strengthening postures with a focus on alignment. Increase attention to physical detail and sensation through light postural adjustments that lead to advanced body awareness. Gain the knowledge and confidence necessary to build or enhance your existing home practice safely and effectively. Bring a your yoga mat, water and a towel.

Zumba
Zumba is a fusion of Latin and international dance styles that create a dynamic, cardio fitness routine. It combines high-energy, motivating music with unique moves that keep participants coming back for more. The routines feature fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body through the principles of interval training to maximize caloric output. Zumba is a feel-happy workout that is great for both body and mind.
