TRAIN TO RUN
Whether you've never run before, are looking to get back into running after a hiatus, want to continue to run comfortably as you age, or have particular performance goals for yourself, the methods taught in our Train to Run program apply to you.
The 2011 program will consist of a 3-month training schedule, beginning in mid-January. It will incorporate both individual and group components, including:
- Preliminary fitness assessment and video gait analysis
- Corrective and core exercise training
- Education about proper biomechanics for running form and posture
- Stride technique (coaching, drills, and practice)
- Progressive training schedule tailored to your goals
- Nutritional guidelines for runners
- Race preparation and performance for 5K, 10K and/or half-marathon
Whatever your goals, the Train to Run program will help you acquire the technique, strength, endurance, and motivation to enable you to succeed and enjoy the experience of running--at any level.
