Loretta Stanton has been in the fitness industry since 1983. During high school she ran track and competed on the gymnastics team. While in college, Loretta’s love of dance took over and she performed extensively with the contemporary dance company at James Madison University. After graduation, she joined the Downtown Dance Company in Baltimore, Maryland. There she danced with the company and began her career in the fitness industry as an aerobics instructor. Over the years she became certified in group fitness, indoor cycling, personal training, Pilates and TRX.
Loretta enjoys teaching a variety of classes as well as training people with a wide range of fitness goals. She uses her experience and education to meet the challenges of teaching in a large group, small group and one on one. Loretta is certified in the Pink Ribbon Program and has extensive experience training those in all stages of cancer treatment and recovery.
Loretta is the program director for the Train to Climb (T2C) at Island Fitness. She trains people to climb mountains all over the world.
