Our group exercise classes range from the soothing calm of yoga and Pilates to high intensity cardio and cycling. Attending a class with others who are motivated to get fit and have fun will inspire you to keep healthy and try something new every time you come to the club. Our 3 studios feature 50+ classes included with your membership. We are committed to the holistic development of the body, mind and soul.


Group Fitness Classes:

Ab & Bun Burner

This 30-minute class is designed to strengthen and tone your mid-section and rear. It's the perfect addition to your fitness routine. Adjustable for all fitness levels, this class can be done at the beginning, middle, or end of your workout.  You’ll get a variety of equipment, great music, and high energy for a great time.


A full-body workout combining precise movements to tone and strengthen muscles, followed by stretching exercises to make muscles lean and long. Fusing techniques from pilates, dance, and yoga, this high-energy, fat-burning class is an engaging, vigorous workout designed to tone, define and chisel the body.

Cardio Mix 

This class is strictly cardiovascular. Get ready for hi-low impact aerobics, Step, and other aerobic-based movements. The workout that combines the best of both Step and Hi-Lo!  A format that focuses on cardio with some added core work, finishing with a great stretch.

downDAWG Yoga
This class is for those who like a fitness based, powerful, sweaty workout done to energizing, pop and hip hop music. downDAWG Yoga is not your traditional yoga practice, which is what makes this class unique. You will get all the strength and flexibility training that yoga provides, done in a fun, lighthearted environment as you flow through the yoga sequences to the beat of the music. Appropriate for all fitness levels.

Endurance Ride
Build a more powerful cycling base by developing cardiovascular and muscular endurance. The class will feature one or two long sets for building leg strength while maintaining a constant heart rate in zones 2 & 3 (70-80% of max). First-timers should plan to arrive 15 minutes early for orientation and bike fitting. Bring water and a towel.

Flow Yoga 

This mixed-level vinyasa-style class relies on active and dynamic flowing sequences practiced in accordance with optimal alignment, mindfulness, and breath to produce focus and strength, as well as promote flexibility and release. Each student will be encouraged to honor their own body and use modifications that allow for individual needs, while experiencing the joy and inspiration of group energy. Bring your yoga mat, water and a towel.

Group Power
This 60-minute barbell program strengthens all your major muscles in a motivating group environment. The athletic movements include squats, lunges, presses and curls. All fitness levels are welcome. Please arrive early to set up your equipment.  Admission tickets are required.  Late arrivals will not be admitted.

Group Power Intro
In order to get the most out of your workout and prevent injury, Group Power movements should be executed with precision and control. This training will give participants insight on the fundamentals, and teach proper execution of movements in a slower-paced, more controlled environment.  The class is open to all.  By prior appointment only.

Group Ride R30
Get fitter in only 30 minutes with R30! It's as easy as riding a bike!In R30 riding a bike has never been been better. Burn calories, improve muscular endurance and build cardio fitness as you ride with surges, short intervals, power and end with a rush. Inspiring music and motivating coaches will ensure that everyone finishes first!

Group Ride R60
Pedal in groups, roll over hills, chase the pack, climb mountains and spin your way to burning calories and strengthening your lower body. This 60-minute cycling program is geared for anyone that can ride a bike! Motivating music, awesome instructors and an inspiring group environment lets you ride on!

Enhance Fitness
A specialized program designed for seniors and those with musculoskeletal concerns, such as knee, back, or shoulder pain. Its goal is to strengthen all the major muscle groups and improve your functional movement.  Boost energy levels by focusing on stretching, flexibility, balance, low impact exercise and strength training. Admission tickets are required. Late arrivals will not be admitted.

Enhance Yoga
Come discover that yoga is for every body. In an atmosphere that is supportive, and adaptive for individual needs, learn how mindful breath work combines with yoga poses to develop balance and strength throughout the body. Flexing and flowing to music, experience a practice that refreshes and stimulates the whole person. Chairs, props and gentle encouragement are always available.  Bring your yoga mat, water and a towel.

It is our goal to insure that our members have a safe and enjoyable experience at Island Fitness, and feel comfortable using the club’s equipment and facilities.  This orientation helps familiarize new members to the basics of cardio and strength equipment. By prior appointment only.

Pilates Mat
A full body workout that strengthens the muscles from the deepest to those on the surface. Pilates increases flexibility and strength, improves posture, and creates balance between the mind and body. This is an all-levels class.

Qigong/Tai Chi Flow
A unique movement class inspired by the slow, fluid, body centering movements of tai chi and qigong. Experience a new challenge of core control and movement integration that will improve balance, flexibility and coordination of the upper and lower body. Class format varies with FlowMotion movement, form practice, balance sequences, and tai chi toning.

Run Club
A noncompetitive group that runs outside year round. We provide safety and guidance on island roads and trails. Tuesday is track day. We run to the high school and do a variety of intervals. Thursday is a quicker paced,  shorter run. Saturday we ease the pace and increase the distance. The overall goal is to share the joy of running on our beautiful island. All skill levels are welcome. Go time is at 8:15 am.

Studio Cycle
Endorphin-packed cardio workout focusing on improving cardiovascular fitness. Classes combine high-intensity, speed and power with rest/recovery. All levels are welcome. First-timers should plan to arrive 15 minutes early for orientation and bike fitting. Bring water and  a towel.

Total Body Conditioning
This complete workout combines the latest fitness techniques including step, weights, fitness circle, ball, Pilates, intervals, circuit and more! Cross-train through a wide variety of approaches to achieve your fitness goals.

Ultimate Barre, Barre Express
A workout designed to strengthen and lengthen your body. It is influenced by ballet technique, Pilates, and yoga, with emphasis on form and alignment. It offers the muscle-shaping principles of isometrics, the elongation of dance conditioning, and the intensity of interval training.

Yoga I
A class for beginners and for those who want to refine their foundation in yoga. The emphasis is on developing stability, resiliency and stamina of the physical body through a respectful and nurturing practice. This is the perfect class for anyone looking for serenity and rejuvenation of the body and mind. All levels welcomed. Bring your yoga mat, water and a towel.

Yoga I/II
This intermediate class is a bridge connecting foundation poses to a more moderately-paced practice. Level I/II focuses on transitioning between poses. Basic inversions, as well as back bending and balancing poses are introduced. For advanced beginners and intermediate students. This class assumes a basic knowledge of poses and breathing, and is appropriate for any level beyond beginner.  Bring your yoga mat, water and a towel.

Yoga II
A strong practice for those with prior yoga experience, level II balances vigorous vinyasa with sustained poses in order to refine the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of the practice. This class explores deeper versions of standing and seated poses, arm balances, inversions, and pranayama exercises. Must have a strong yoga practice to participate. Bring your yoga mat, water and a towel.

A fusion of Latin and international dance styles that create a dynamic, cardio fitness routine. It combines high-energy, motivating music with fun moves that mix fast and slow rhythms to condition the body through interval training to maximize caloric output. Zumba is a feel-happy workout that is great for both body and spirit.
