Enjoy whatâs left of summer while gently creating a little breathing room for the transition into fall.
Squeeze in a little more Summer:Â A sunset walk, pool day, picnic, or trip to the farmers market, maybe plan a neighborhood gathering, a weekend trip to the beach with friends or family.
Try something new before Fall:Â A new class, strength exercise, workout format, or fitness goal – keep the end of summer fun!
Look at the calendar:Â Put important fall dates, appointments, school events, work commitments, etc. in one place before things get busy.
Put YOU on your Fall calendar:Â schedule your gym time like it is the most important appointment!
Ease back into routines:Â Start shifting bedtime/wake-up times gradually rather than waiting for the first hectic week.
Protect your downtime:Â As schedules fill up, intentionally leave a few evenings or weekends unscheduled.
Get back to your routine gradually:Â If summer disrupted gym habits, donât feel like you need to jump straight back into 5 days a week. Start with what feels manageable and build from there.
Plan for the busy days:Â Have a âminimum workoutâ in mind – a quick walk, 20-minute workout or schedule a 30-minute Training Session.
Think beyond the scale: Fall can be a great time to focus on strength, energy, mobility, sleep, and health rather than chasing a summer body.
Choose what you donât want to carry into fall: A great little reflection – what can be simplified, declined, delegated, or let go of.
Use the changing season as a reset, not punishment: A fresh season can be motivation to establish habits that fit your life.
